Siberian cats are hypoallergenic. If you are allergic to cats you are most likely allergic to the Fel d 1 protein found in their saliva. When they groom themselves, it gets into their fur and then their fur spreads it around. Siberians do not have this protein, making them hypoallergenic for most people. Siberian cats are absolutely loveable. They love people and are sometimes regarded as the dogs of the cat world. Some people have even trained their Siberians. They are incredibly smart and patient so most are good with kids. Weirdly these cats aren’t opposed to water. Some are even drawn to water.
